Terms of Service
Packable Pits LLC · West Palm Beach, Florida · Last updated 27 August 2026
Buying from us means agreeing to these terms, along with our Shipping, Returns, Warranty, and Safety pages — they're part of the deal, not decoration. We've kept all of it in plain English on purpose.
Who you're buying from
Packable Pits LLC, a two-man shop in West Palm Beach, Florida. We design and plasma-cut flat-pack fire pit panels from 1/8″ A36 carbon steel and ship them within the United States. Questions before or after you order: team@packablepits.com.
The product, honestly
- Panels are raw carbon steel. They rust. That's the finish, not a defect — the patina deepens with weather and use.
- Panels come in two slot patterns, A and B, that lock together. Builds need matching counts of each, which is why the store sells balanced packs and asks single Swap Panel buyers to pick A or B.
- Steel that's been through a fire changes — scale, colour, temper marks. Normal, expected, and part of the look.
- Dimensions are nominal; plasma cutting has real-world tolerances. Photos show our panels in real fires — your flames, fuel, and glow will vary.
Orders and payment
- Prices are in US dollars. Payment runs through Stripe; your card details go to Stripe, not to us.
- Sales tax is calculated and collected at checkout where the law requires it.
- We ship to US addresses only for now.
- Promo codes apply as described when we issue them, one per order, no cash value.
- If a listing has an obvious pricing mistake, or an order looks fraudulent, we can cancel it and refund in full. If we cancel for any reason, a full refund is the remedy.
- An order is accepted when we email confirmation. Something out of stock or uncuttable: we'll tell you fast and refund fast.
Shipping, returns, warranty
Covered in full on their own pages: Shipping (timelines, freight, damage on arrival), Returns (30 days, unused, never burned), and Warranty. Those pages control if anything here seems to conflict.
Custom panels
The full process is on the Custom Orders page. The parts that matter legally:
- The $125 design fee is paid up front and credited toward orders of four or more panels. Design fees are non-refundable once cutting begins.
- We cut only after you approve a proof. After approval there are no changes, refunds, or returns on custom work.
- Artwork you send us must be yours to use. You're responsible for any claim arising from artwork you provided, and we can decline anything that doesn't look like yours to give.
- We may photograph finished custom work for our site and social media unless you tell us not to at order time.
Fire is your responsibility
You're buying a product that holds an open fire. Read the Safety page and follow it. You are responsible for where and how you burn: clearances, surfaces, supervision, extinguishing, and your local burn rules and bans. Adults only. Never leave a fire unattended.
Misuse — burning indoors, on unsafe surfaces, during bans, modifying panels, or ignoring the Safety page — is on you, and it voids the warranty.
Our designs
The panel artwork, cut patterns, site content, and the Packable Pits name belong to Packable Pits LLC. Buying a panel buys you the steel, not the right to reproduce or sell the design. Custom work from artwork you own stays yours; the way we adapted it for cutting stays ours.
Liability, in plain terms
To the fullest extent Florida law allows: our total liability for any claim connected to an order is capped at what you paid for that order, and we're not liable for indirect or consequential damages — lost weekends included. Nothing here limits liability that the law says can't be limited. The site and products are provided as described; any warranty beyond our Warranty page and rights the law gives you is disclaimed.
Disputes
Florida law governs. Before anyone lawyers up, email us — a two-man shop answers its own mail, and most problems die in one reply. If it does go further, the courts of Palm Beach County, Florida are the venue.
Changes
We may update these terms; the version posted here applies to orders placed after it's posted. This page's date always tells you when it last changed.
